Bear Creek Redwoods Hike
Dan Kato led a long hike at the recently opened Bear Creek Redwoods in the Open Space Preserve. This was a challenging climb of about 1400 ft. to the summit at Madrone Knoll. Total hike length was about 8 miles. They were wide, well groomed trails through a beautiful redwood forest, shaded almost the entire length, and the climbs were not too steep. Part of the group broke off to do a less challenging hike.
