Rancho San Antonio Hike

On 10-5-2022 Jim Koski led a hike to Rancho San Antonio, Cupertino. They hiked to Deer Hollow Farm and then continue on the Wildcat Loop Trail. Total distance was less than 5 miles, about half of it flat. They stopped at the site of the old St. Joseph College, destroyed by the October, 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.

Gazos Creek Coastal Access Hike

On 9-29-2022 Johanna and Wate Bakker led a hike to Gazos Creek Coastal Access for a 4+ mile hike through the dunes and a trail along the coast   North of Ano Nuevo . When we got out of the car, it felt like summer. It was already 75 degrees F at 10:30am. There was a nice breeze that kept us cool. The ocean was deep turquoise and we saw lots of pelicans, sheltering in the bays

Happy Hollow Outing

On 9-22-202 Kathy Tanaka  led a hike to Kelley Park for Senior Safari, a special time when Seniors get free admission  and parking at Happy Hollow. They enjoyed the animals, rides and special Senior activities.

Oak Meadow Park Hike

On 9-21-2022 Sandy & John Petrin led a hike from Oak Meadow Park, 233 Blossom Hill Rd, along Los Gatos Creek to downtown Los Gatos.  The round trip hike was about 4 miles and mostly shaded along the way. Afterward some participants had lunch at Garrett Station in Los Gatos.

Harvey Bear Hike

On 9-17-2022 eight hikers enjoyed an 11 mile hike (1400′ gain) that Gisela Pearson organized and led. Weather was terrific with a foggy morning followed by a sunny, breezy afternoon. Wildlife sightings included tarantula and deer.
