Cookie Hunley and Caryl Swinyard led a 4 mile rambler Hike hike along Coyote Creek within Hellyer County Park and beyond. The hike began at the Velodrome (bicycle racing arena) within the Park and continued north on the Coyote Creek Trail (out of the Park) to the Los Lagos Golf Course.

Sierra Azul Open Space Hike
Nancy Rumple led the long hikers on a seven mike hike with a 1000 ft. elevation to Sierra Azul Open Space from Hicks Road. The hike was on the Woods trail up Barlow Rd. below Mt. Umunhum and out to Bald Mountain. The Ramblers hiked out and back on the Woods trail and drive up to the new Bald Mt. parking area and hiked out to Bald Mt.

Butano State Park Hike
Dan Kato led a long hike on Saturday, February 13th at Butano State Park. The trail head started at the Ano Nuevo trail for a long climb to the top of the valley. Then there was a rather long circular route around the canyon ending up on the Jackson Flats trail for a total distance of about 10 miles. Three ramblers also took a different flatter route.
Harvey Bear Ranch Hike
Deb Siedband & Susan Brown led long hikers on Saturday, February 6th on a 7.2 mile moderately hilly route in Harvey Bear Ranch Park, Gilroy. The hike started from the Mendoza Ranch parking lot, off Roop Road, and offered some spectacular views of south Santa Clara Valley and Coyote Lake. The trail was a series of loops and the ramblers hikers did portions of it.

Rancho Canada del Oro Open Space Hike
John Trudeau led a hike in Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve on Saturday, January 30th. The trail head start was from the parking lot on Casa Loma Road to the Longwall Canyon Trail to a loop formed by the Catamount Trail and Bald Peaks Trail. Total hiking distance was about 6.7 miles with an elevation gain of about 1400ft.
