Rambler Hike 11-16-2022

On 16-November-2022 Wendy and Rich led a hike along the Coyote Creek Trail. The hike started from the parking lot of Basking Ridge Park on Basking Ridge Road (a continuation of Hellyer Avenue). Hikers followed the Basking Ridge route to Metcalf Bridge, crossed over Coyote Creek, and followed the Coyote Creek Trail back the parking spot. This was a flat loop hike of about 4-5 miles.

Rambler Hike

On 9-Nov-2022 Pam Thompson led a loop hike through the Villages starting out at Cribari Center at 9:30am then up Fairway Drive and then down Villages Parkway to the Bistro.

Fall Potluck and Beach Walk

On 2-Nov-2022 a group of members went down to Jane Ruona’s condo at the Pacific ocean for a walk on the beach and a potluck. The weather was mostly clear and sunny. Nobody left hungry!

Cambria Fall Outing

On 25-Oct-2022 though 27-Oct-2022 a group of hiking club members and their guests went to Cambria CA. Cambria is located halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles and just off of Highway 1. This secluded Central Coast retreat was full of opportunities for memorable moments for the group. Members strolled across enchanting beaches, explored historic attractions, and soaked in the sights and wide-open spaces. It was the perfect escape.

Rambler Hike

Quarry Park Hike

On 10-15-2022 Gisela Pearson  led a 10 mile hike at  the new (2020) Saratoga Quarry Park into Sanborn Park & back. – less than 1 mile beyond Saratoga on highway 9. 1634 ” elevation gain – moderate pace. Meet at 8 a.m. at Cribari Center. Leave at 8:15 a.m. Bring water, lunch and usual items.

Rancho San Antonio Hike

On 10-5-2022 Jim Koski led a hike to Rancho San Antonio, Cupertino. They hiked to Deer Hollow Farm and then continue on the Wildcat Loop Trail. Total distance was less than 5 miles, about half of it flat. They stopped at the site of the old St. Joseph College, destroyed by the October, 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
