Magnificent 7 Hike

On 9-May-2023 Al Girolami lead seven hikers on the Fourth of the Magnificent 7 hikes at Vasona Lake-County Park. Hikers included Al Girolami, Bob Bogdanoff, Gordon Carbonetti, John Petrin, Cheryl Allmen, David Cook and RC Coleman. Afterwards, five met for a wonderful lunch at Campo Di Bocce.

Sonora Spring Outing

On 2-May-2023 a group of 43 departed the Villages and stayed the nights of May 2-3 and departed on May 4. The Hotel Lumberjack was the location of the event. A long, a rambler and a rambler-lite hike were planned. The group had a mixer on May 2nd and a group dinner on Wednesday evening. Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park

On 26-Apr-2023 Jim Koski led a group of six members on a five mile hike at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton. They hiked through the ancient redwood grove and then up pipeline and powder mill trail to the observation deck. Then down the Eagle Creek Trail back to the ancient redwood grove. It was a beautiful day for hiking.

Rambler Lite Hike 4-26-2023

On 26-Apr-2023 Katy Peretti led a group of thirteen people on a hike around Village View Loop and up to the end of the circle to the shorter lower Joe Marsh trail. They ended up at the upper gardens .

Henry Coe State Park Hike

On 19-Apr-2023  the Bakkers got a crowd of people numbering 16!   They broke into 3 groups. One rambler & two separate long hiker groups. Michelle Breslin, Mary Stradner, Dan Kato, Deb Siedband, and Amy Meier did a 6 mile hike in Henry Coe Park. They saw manzanita, varieties of oak and other trees, wildflowers and small streams, various birds including displaying turkeys and one deer.

Lake Elizabeth Hike

On Wednesday, April 12, Sandy & John Petrin led a 10-person hike around Lake Elizabeth in Fremont., The hike was easy, level and about 4.4 miles for most, 2.2 miles for those looking more for a “Lite Rambler” distance. Along the way there was a lot of waterfowl and even some new goslings! About noon we adjourned to Panera for a nice lunch. The weather was nice but cooled off in the late morning and the wind came up.
