Wate Bakker led a hike in Henry Coe State Park .The hike was 7-8 miles long and on the Corral Flat, Frog lake , Middle Ridge and Fish trails, There were plenty of late spring flowers.
Brad Hinckley led a rambler four mile hike at Harvey Bear County Park. While at Harvey Bear County Park they hiked to Coyote Lake. Most of the flowers were gone but the scenery and day was great for hiking.
Wate and Johanna Bakker led long and rambler hikes in the Russian Ridge open space area. The spring flowers were in full bloom. Johanna’s hike was about 4 miles and Wate’s hike 6-8 miles. Hiking conditions were spectacular and the flowers did not disappoint.
Ramon and Marianna Reza led a hike on the Hidden Springs and Mine Trails, a 3.8 loop trail with moderate elevation at Santa Teresa County Park. The hike began at the Pueblo Day Use Area and followed the Hidden Springs and Mine Trails. The altitude gain was 600 feet.
Hikers led by Nancy Rumple did a 9 mile hike with a 1000 ft. elevation gain on the Mayfair Ranch, Longwall Canyon and Bald Peaks Trails to complete the loop. They detoured briefly onto the Chisnantuck Trail to check out the trilliums.
Ramon and Marianna Reza led an out and back hike on the Coastside Trail, a winding, flat, paved trail that goes in and out from the edge of the Pacific Coast. Round trip hike distance is approximately 5 miles.
Wate and Johanna Bakker led a hike on Saturday, March 30th in the Caste Rock state park, known for its exotic rock formations and scenic waterfall. Total elevation gain was 500-700 ft, with many ups and downs and some rock scrambling.
