Hill Hike
Coyote Hills Regional Park,
Sandy and John Petrin led a hike to Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont. It was mostly a level paved path along Bayview Trail and curved around Red Hill and back to the park entrance for about 3.6 miles. There was a small museum depicting the lifestyle of the indigenous peoples that lived in the area.

Mount Madonna Hike
Nancy Rumple led a group of hikers on a 9 mile hilly hike on Saturday, March 31st. They went from the Ranger Station at the top, down the rocky Merry-go-Round trail, across Tie Camp trail, down the Ridge trail to Sprig Lake at the bottom. They saw many wild flowers, views of the valley, and the white deer herd. The climb back up to the top was a 1200 foot elevation gain on the Sprig Lake Trail.

Calero County Park Hike
Lower Hills Hike
Johanna Bakker led a hike in the lower hills on Wednesday, March 21st. They met at the upper gardens at 8:30 for a 8:45 departure. The hike was up Sky to Cougar, to Richter, to Oak, up Oak to Buffalo, then Buffalo to Thistle, Meadow to Farm and then Richter and Cougar back to the parking lot. The hiking distance was about 3 miles.
Windy Hill Preserve Hike
Amy Meier led a hike in Windy Hill Preserve of approximately 7.5 miles with a 1,200 ft. elevation gain on Saturday, March 10th, starting at the Portola Road entrance and hiking a loop on Hamms Gulch and Spring Ridge trails. There were fourteen people that hiked the ridge and gully at Windy Hill. They saw purple, pink and white trillium. Other wildflowers are starting to bloom also. 3 people hiked the ridge both ways. Excellent views everywhere.
