Eleven long hikers and three Ramblers(Johanna Bakker,Faye Swanson,Katie Peretti) were treated to a glorious day of hiking on the Coyote Ridge/Mummy Mountain trail at Harvey Bear Ranch Saturday, March 15th . Not only did the hills turn green for us, the cool breeze kept us cool the whole time. We found many different kinds of wild flowers beginning to come up and even the one big, black bull on the hill kept a good distance from us ( it ran after a poor, young, bicyclist instead!?) Though the Coyote Ridge trail is not hilly and has lots of shady areas, the Mummy Mt. trail took us up to a stunning view of the Coyote Lake and many scattered volcanic rocks on the ground.
