On 1-5-2022 Al Girolami led a hike along Coyote Creek. The route will start at the Silver Creek trailhead and go south about two and a half miles passing the Ford Road Ponds and returning after reaching Coyote Pond for about a 5-mile round trip. The trail is paved with little elevation.Â

Annual New Years Hike
The club and guests celebrated the New Year on Top of our hill. The top of our tallest hill, at 2,300 ft. was reached by the group of long hikers that started from Foothill Center, The ramblers started at the garden parking lot and hiked the lower hill trails to the picnic tables at the intersection of Sky and Ohlone. There were 33 hikers in the group picture at the top and an additional 28 counted on the way back down.

Pleasanton Ridge Hike
Wate Bakker led a long hike along the Crest of Pleasanton Ridge. The hike was about 7 miles long. Total elevation gain was about 1000ft, mostly during the first mile of the hike. The hike will be mostly sunny, but there is shade on the way up. There are extensive views across the bay and also mature olive groves
Los Gatos Creek Trail Hike
Sandy & John Petrin led a hike from Oak Meadow Park, 233 Blossom Hill Rd east along Los Gatos Creek past the dam to a small shopping plaza on Winchester Blvd on Wednesday, December 8th. Â They ate an early lunch at Garrett Station. The round trip hike was about 4 miles with some shade along the way.
Santa Teresa County Park Hike
Dan Kato led a long hike at Santa Teresa County Park on Saturday, December 4th. They started at the Bernal Gulnac Joice Ranch. From there they hiked to Coyote Peak, an up and down climb of about 1000 ft., where they had lunch. There were rocks and benches at the peak to sit on and see a nice view. They then took a different set of trails to return for a total hike length of 7 miles.
