Villages Hike

Because of the threat of rain on Wednesday, May 16th, it was decided to hike within the Villages instead of going to Los Alamitos Creek.  The group consisting of five hiked the back paths of Cribari, Verano, Highland, Hermosa and Montgomery ending the trek at the bistro.  All in all the hike covered a little over 5 miles. There were no clear pictures to publish.

Carmel River State Beach

Guy Hoover led a hike along Camel’s Scenic Rd. They parked at Camel River State Beach and hiked along the Scenic Rd to Ocean Ave. There were great ocean views and some interesting houses to view. The Total hike distance was about 6 miles. Elevation was less than 200 ft.

Lower Hill Hike

 

Johanna Bakker led a hike in the lower hills on Wednesday, May 8th. The group hiked up Sky to Cougar, to Richter, to Oak, up Oak to Buffalo, then Buffalo to Thistle, Meadow to Farm and then Richter and Cougar back to the parking lot.

Henry Coe State Park Hike

Wate Bakker led a hike in Henry Coe State Park .The hike was 7-8 miles long and on the Corral Flat, Frog lake , Middle Ridge and Fish trails, There were plenty of late spring flowers.

Harvey Bear County Park Hike

Brad Hinckley led a rambler four mile hike at Harvey Bear County Park. While at Harvey Bear County Park they hiked to Coyote Lake. Most of the flowers were gone but the scenery and day was great for hiking.

Russian Ridge Hikes

Wate and Johanna Bakker led long and rambler hikes in the Russian Ridge open space area. The spring flowers were in full bloom. Johanna’s hike was about 4 miles and Wate’s hike 6-8 miles. Hiking conditions were spectacular and the flowers did not disappoint.

Santa Teresa County Park – Mine Trail

Ramon and Marianna Reza led a hike on the Hidden Springs and Mine Trails, a 3.8 loop trail with moderate elevation at Santa Teresa County Park. The hike began at the Pueblo Day Use Area and followed the Hidden Springs and Mine Trails. The altitude gain was 600 feet.

Our Hill Hike

Rich Bainbridge led a hike up our hill starting at Foot Hill Center. They met at 8:30 left at 8:45.
