Trail Maintenance Day 2019

We met at Foothill Center at 8:30 to divide into teams, pickup tools and started departing via mules by 8:45 – 9:00.  The main focus today was the upper part of the Rawhide Trail switch backs, that have also been the main focus of the wild pigs in our hill lands!  Other areas that crews worked on included the steps on the Meadow Trail going up to the mail box and the Step Trail between Rawhide and the upper garden.  We had 30 people show up to make today a great success.

Other than a very few muddy spots, there were no problems on the trail. The park was very green with the creek full of running water–. The rushing water was so loud that we heard it way up on top of the hill.
