Eight long hikers did a 7 mile loop hike with a 1000 ft. elevation gain led by Nancy Rumple. It was a beautiful sunny hike with views of the Calero Reservoir and the surrounding area. At the start of the hike a young man, Jae Hong Kim, approached us and asked if he could walk with us. He proved to be a delightful addition and took most of the pictures. The ramblers, Bonnie Preston,Johanna Bakker, and Barbara Knight, did a shorter hike along the same trail.

Ten hardy, dedicated hikers completed an 8 mile loop with a 1200 ft. elevation gain among the Redwood trees and along the running creek near Felton Ca. led by Nancy Rumple on September 21st. We walked in the rain part of the way and had lunch at the top inside of a giant redwood tree. The gurgle of the creek water, drops of rain, and interesting sights made for a memorable experience. Afterward we all gathered for a fellowship supper at a local restaurant in Felton.
