Joesph Grant County Park Hike

On 29-Jan-2024 Five intrepid ramblers headed for Joseph Grant County Park at the top of Quimby Rd for a 5+ mile hike. The destination of Almaden-Quicksilver County Park was scrapped due to imminent rain and this was a bit closer. The rain stayed at bay while everyone enjoyed a beautiful hike. It included a family of wild pigs (at a distance) stirring things up as well as quite a few wild hares checking us out.

Rambler hike Jan 10-2024

On 10-Jan-2024 six brave souls braved the cloudy skies to hike just over 3 miles near Evergreen Square. The hike began in the parking lot behind Subway Sandwiches, went around Lake Murillo and by Evergreen High School, turned east toward Gurdwara Sikh Temple, then south toward Aborn Blvd and finally west back to Evergreen Square. The picture features Wendy Werner, Johanna Bakker, Rich Bainbridge, Sandy Petrin and Wate Bakker. Photo by John Petrin. There was a very light sprinkle that began at about the half way point of the hike but all survived to the end to enjoy a cup of coffee at Evergreen Square.
